| June 14, 2006) Vienna, Va.-based MobileAccess Networks has raised $11 million in a funding round. The vendor's technology is designed to redistribute an organization's various wireless signals over a single network to improve strength. MobileAccess will use the funding to further market its technology to hospitals, company executives say. Ziegler Equity Partners, Milwaukee, led the financing round. Other existing investors, including HarbourVest Partners, Pitango Venture Capital and Poalim Ventures, also participated. MobileAccess recently secured contracts for its wireless technology from several delivery systems, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Clarian Health Partners, Indianapolis, and Denver Health.
