PrimeShot.com Taps Veteran Kodak Executive and Georgetown University Professor of Photography
Gabrielle Urquhart and Kelly Shaffer to Direct PrimeShot.com's Photography Department

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PrimeShot.com (www.primeshot.com), the world's premier professional event photography service, announced today that Gabrielle Urquhart and Kelly Shaffer have joined the company as Director of Photography and Director of Photographic Certification and Education, respectively.

As Director of Photography, Urquhart will spearhead the continuing development, expansion and quality control of the company's photographer network. She comes to PrimeShot.com with 12 years of photographic industry experience gained at Eastman Kodak.

Last serving as a Regional Photography Specialist, Urquhart was recognized as Kodak's top salesperson in the United States in 1996 for the Professional Imaging Division. In addition, she directed the training of Kodak sales representatives.

At Kodak, Urquhart was also a master university recruiter, designing and implementing strategies that enabled Kodak to increase its hiring rate by more than 60 percent, including a fifty percent increase in female and minority hiring. She began her career at Kodak as a senior development engineer, leading copier product research and development projects.

As Director of Photographic Certification and Education, Shaffer will spearhead PrimeShot.com's photographer certification and oversee image quality to ensure that PrimeShot.com customers continue to receive exceptional products. Shaffer will also execute a three-tiered photographer education program consisting of online tutorial sessions, classroom lectures and hands-on training.

Shaffer is a professor of photography at Georgetown University and George Washington University, as well as a professional photographer. She has earned several awards for her work and has had her photographs exhibited at shows and galleries throughout the East Coast, as well as in Tokyo, Japan. Shaffer's photos have appeared in the books: The Smithsonian's America: An Exhibition on American History and Culture and Licks, Sticks and Bricks: A World History of Ice Cream.
