Israeli start-up company earthnoise.com has helped a childless Israeli
couple adopt a Romanian infant.
The company streams videos over the Internet. Several weeks ago, a Tel Aviv
couple approached earthnoise.com with an unusual request. Unable to have
children, they had waited a very long time for adoption permits. As part of
their efforts, they had tried to adopt a Romanian baby. However, when the
video arrived of babies who are candidates for adoption in Israel, the
husband was away on business in Germany, and was unable to return to view
the video, choose a baby and complete the adoption papers. The wife feared
they would miss the one-time opportunity.
earthnoise.com came to the couple's rescue. Through the technology the
company has developed, the video was converted to digital format and
screened on a special and secret channel opened for them. The husband viewed
it on the site, at a computer at the Internet-Cafe shop in Berlin. In this
way, the husband and wife were able to view the video at the same time,
discuss things between themselves, and make a decision to adopt one of the
infants.
