Xacct Technologies

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Xacct Technologies, which
provides business infrastructure software for IP
networks, said Sun Microsystems made a strategic
investment in the company. The amount was not disclosed,
but the investment brings total financing in XACCT
to $48 million. The funding will be used for working
capital. The two companies plan to initiate joint
sales and marketing activities. Last October, Xacct
Technologies said it raised a $21.3 million third
round of financing led by Technology Crossover Ventures.
The total financing at that time was over $32 million.
Xacct is also backed by Ampal, Deutsche Bank, Hambrecht
& Quist fund Eucalyptus Ventures, Israel Seed Partners,
Asia Pacific regional trading company Nissho Iwai,
and Trident Capital. |
