Cellular operators Partner and Pele-Phone have ordered from Israeli company
Foxcom Wireless cellular networking for the transmission of wireless
communications over fiber optics. Pele-Phone ordered from Foxcom $100,000
worth of cellular networking for the Haifa airport. Partner ordered
networking for several high-rise buildings in central Israel.
US company Nextel, which operates a wireless network identical to that of
Israeli company MIRS, has ordered from Foxcom special cellular networking
for its site in the Wireless 2000 exhibition, that will be held at the end
of the month in New Orleans.
Foxcom Wireless has developed a technology for very long distance
transmission wireless signals through fiber optics without using costly
amplifiers. The company's technology is a cost-saving substitute for
expensive microwave links or coaxial cables.
