Foxcom of Jerusalem has announced a new product by the name of SDTVplus.
This is a communications system that enables television, cable and Internet
broadcasts to be transmitted on a single optic fibre and broadband at a
frequency of 2 Gigaherz. The company intends the system for providers of
television broadcasts by cable, satellite (DBS) etc.
Foxcom general manager Dave Stehlin said the new systems facilitates
transmission of all currently existing home communication requirements on a
single cable. "In the United States, there is currently a demand for
integrating all technologies and service providers. People are aware of the
existing possibilities, and prefer to create themselves a quality service
package by means of a single provider. Our product represents a leap
forward, enabling all landlords to supply all their tenants' communications
requirements via a single point".
The MDU (multi dwelling unit) neighbourhoods market in the United States
currently numbers some 20 million households, only 5% of which get all
voice, data and video services from a single provider. The reviews show that
most residents of these neighbourhoods prefer to get these services from a
single provider.

rest in the United States. The company last year completed a second capital
raising round of $8.5 million. Founder Howard Loboda, Israel Apax Fund,
