Business Layers Sets Up Portal for Resource Allocation According to
Business Requirements
By Ella Jacoby
Ra'anana-based start-up company Business Layers has set up a portal for the
allocation of digital resources and services according to business
requirements, called eProvision.com. The site features software, developed
by Business Layers, that enables organizations to allocate their resources
to employees, business partners and customers. The portal will also include
forums for discussion and consultation on the issue of integrating the
software into organizations.
Business Layers, which was set up a year ago, develops advanced solutions
for the business environment, based on Internet, Intranet, and Extranet
technologies. The company was founded by BRM's former vice president for
business development Izhar Shay, in cooperation with entrepreneurs Avi
Zamir, the outgoing president of Radcom US (chief of Radcom's US
operations), Amir Weinstein, former software development manager at Bay
Networks Israel (who serves as technological development manager), and David
Levanda, former product development manager at IPHighway, (who serves as
vice president for marketing).
Business Layers' shareholders include venture capital funds Formula
Ventures, Israel Seed Partners, Gemini, and entrepreneur Yigal Jacoby (one
of the founders of Armon, Allot, and Global-Loop). Business Layers is
currently seeking to raise $5-8 million, at a company value of $25-30
million, after money.
