DealTime, GuruNet among 100 Most Popular Internet Sites

The sites of Israeli start-ups DealTime and
GuruNet have entered "PC Magazine"'s list of the
100 most popular Internet sites.
DealTime of Netanya offers price comparison services on the Internet, while
GuruNet provides online Internet information search services, based on a
specific word.
DealTime was founded in January 1998 by Nahum Sharfman (a co-founder of
Commtouch) and Amir Ashkenazi. "Globes" learned a few days ago that the
company is raising $50 million on a company value of $250 million after
money. Among the investors in DealTime are ISP, Odeon Capital, Nomura,
Advanta, and Clal's Infinity fund.
GuruNet was founded at the end of 1998 by Bob Rosenschein and Yossi Vardi.
Investers in the company include ISP, Dawntreader, Unicycle, and private
investors.
