Digital Fuel Expands Management Ranks
|Company Adds Senior Industry Execs In R&D and Professional Services
|Jerusalem, Israel - Dec 24, 2003 - Digital Fuel, provider of the ServiceFlow™ platform for real-time governance of sourced IT and business services, today announced the latest additions to its executive management team. Yakov Dekel, a veteran of IBM and BMC Software has been appointed as VP of Engineering. Trond-Henning Olesen, a founding member of Calico Commerce, joins as VP of Professional Services.
Yakov Dekel takes responsibility for all aspects of Digital Fuel's software development, quality assurance, and customer support. His successful executive track record includes more that 20 years experience with both small and large software companies in the services management domain. Prior to Digital Fuel, Dekel held executive R&D positions at Precise (now Veritas) and BMC, where he also served as General Manager of the ERP Strategic Business Unit. He joined BMC through its acquisition of New Dimension Software, where he led major R&D projects and ultimately became the VP of Engineering and Support. Dekel spent the first 8 years of his career with IBM Global Services.
Dr. Trond-Henning Olesen, an expert in building world-class services teams, joins Digital Fuel as VP of Professional Services. Prior to Digital Fuel, Olesen was the VP of Engineering and Professional Services at iSpheres Corporation, where he built a worldwide product development and delivery organization. Before iSpheres, he was a founding member of Calico Commerce, where his positions included European Technical Director, overseeing all customer deployments in Europe and Southeast Asia. Olesen also served as an associate professor in computer science at the Rogaland University Centre in Stavanger, Norway.
As a result of these appointments, Vice President and co-founder Yakov Kogen will assume the newly created role of VP of Product Management.
